Episode 7 - The Jay Bentley Interview Episode

Episode 7 is now up. It features, as promised, a 50 minute interview with Jay Bentley. I ask him about the new record, plans for new tours, the origin of some songs, if they have any unreleased songs, if they've played some of the more unpopular songs live, how the setlists get made, and lots of other questions.

The song also features three live songs:
Pity - Live From 1982
Greg's New Song - Live From 1982
News From The Front - Live From 1999

Next episode will go back to the traditional Bad Religion Podcast episode format.

michael, that was a great interview. you asked some really great questions, and jay seemed joyous and talkative as always.

thanks! also, we should probably have figured out for ourselves that moonshine wiskey was not a band collaboration, but merely a greg (maybe incl. brian baker) solo effort.

Thanks.

I thikn the reason that Moonshine Whiskey was assumed to be a Bad Religion song was becuase it had higher production values and better drumming than most Graffin solo projects.

yeh, you were asking all very good questions that I wouldn't expect usual interviewers to ask, naming some great songs in the "why dont you play them live" section, too bad you didn't mention Let It Burn, that song is so so so so under-rated.

Congrats anywayz

Yeah, I realized that I actually forgot a few songs that I wanted to ask him about. Perhaps when it's getting time to release the new record I'll see if Jay wants to do another interview, wherein I'll make sure to ask him about Let It Burn and various other songs (like Entropy and Misery and Famine).

Anybody have the one song they were talking about, "Fallow the leader"? If so can you please post it in a comment here or email it to torbar203 (AT) gmail (dot) com
